The short version
Your photos are processed entirely on your iPhone. FitSnap does not upload your photos, stats, or captions to any server, and nothing is shared with anyone unless you choose to share it. There are no accounts and no ads, and we never sell data.
Who we are
FitSnap (“we”, “us”) is an iOS app that overlays workout stats and designed themes onto your fitness progress photos. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. It applies to the FitSnap iOS app and to this website.
Photos
FitSnap asks for access to your camera and photo library so you can create framed progress images. All image processing happens on your device: applying themes, overlaying stats, exporting.
- Your photos are never uploaded to our servers. We don’t operate servers that receive photos.
- Exported images are saved to your photo library, or passed to the app you choose to share to, only when you tap save or share.
- When you share an image to another app (Instagram, TikTok, Messages, and so on), that app’s own privacy policy governs what happens next.
Stats and captions you enter
Workout details you type into FitSnap (activity, distance or steps, time, pace, notes, yoga poses) are stored locally on your device. They may also be included in your device backups, such as iCloud backup, which are controlled by your Apple account settings, not by us. We cannot read them.
Apple Health
If you use the import feature, FitSnap asks for read-only access to your workouts and steps in Apple Health, solely to pre-fill the stats on your photo. Health data is read on-device when you tap import, is never uploaded anywhere, and you can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Health.
Analytics
FitSnap collects usage analytics through PostHog, an analytics provider that processes this data on our behalf on servers in the United States, to help us fix bugs and decide what to build next. This includes which features you use, app crashes, and your device type, OS version, and IP address, along with an approximate location (typically city, region, and country) that our analytics provider derives from that IP address. This is not GPS: FitSnap never asks for or reads your device location. It also includes session replay, with all photos and typed text automatically masked, so your photos and typed text are never captured. This data:
- is not tied to your name, email, or any account (FitSnap has no accounts);
- is never sold or used for advertising.

Purchases
If you buy anything in FitSnap, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
- We do not run ad networks or advertising trackers in the app.
- We do not require an account, email, or sign-in.
- We use photo library access only to show your photos inside the app and to save your exports. All on-device.
Children
FitSnap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s behavior changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change ships.
